Ron Artest. That’s all I need to say. When you read the name Ron Artest and you know the Rockets didn’t play, the logical conclusion is that Ron did or said something. Like when he’s promoting his mixtape, or rejecting Stat Quo’s “Greg Oden’s gay” talk.
In this case he’s doing an interview with TNT’s Craig Sager. In less than 80 seconds Ron says he’ll take Brandon Roy over Kobe and LeBron, calls out Roy’s defense, disses Charles Barkley, and claims Michael Jordan wanted to face him in his prime.
Ron Artest should be allowed to use steroids, HGH, and any other substance that’ll keep him in the league for 50 years. We need him around dropping quotes like this. Or like the time he called LeBron “A new and improved Ron Artest“.
For the record Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley, and Chris Webber destroyed Ron-Ron after the clip. Not like he’ll care. But Kobe cares. Take this to the bank: If the Rockets advance The Mamba is gonna make Artest eat his words.
