No amount of puppets or Vitaminwater can change the fact that the better team won the Cleveland-Orlando Eastern Conference finals match-up. Nike and Vitaminwater prematurely crowned LeBron James the King of the East, and got what they deserved with the Orlando upset.
LeBron didn’t take the loss well; leaving the arena without speaking to the media, and as YouTube user Sports Boy Tony points out, he didn’t congratulate the Magic after the game.
That’s a bad look for the chosen one. It’s all good when he’s doing the camera thing, and whooping it up on the sidelines, but he can’t say good run to the Magic, Dwight Howard at least, when the team loses? To quote Charles Barkley “That’s turrible.”
LeBron would’ve been front and center talking about Game 7 if the Cavs had won so he has to take the podium after the loss. There’s no way to knock what James did in this series. Too bad his last moment on the court was his worst of the playoffs.

May 31st, 2009 at 5:03 am
This just goes to show he is no kobe. Just poor sportsmanship and just a sore looooser. Never really liked the cat. I always knew he was a fraud. If he dont win he dont care. WHAT A B”*@H!!!!

Lebron is a punk. This is why the NBA will not have success because they cater to this guy and want him to be there future. What a Role Model for Kids. Kobe is the best player in the NBA and Howard is right behind him with Wade. Lebron is the TO of the NBA.
May 31st, 2009 at 8:22 am
i think the guy was just pissed… after such a great regular season it must have been tough to go out that way… bad move, but hes definitely not the TO of the NBA
May 31st, 2009 at 9:19 am
He’ll never make it anywhere with that attitude! Sore Loser! What is he gonna do now? blame it on the team? He didn’t do anything in the game and he never complained about the team when they were winning 4-0…He’s a big baby liek Kobe was back in the day when they told him he needed to pass the ball more…That’s all he is…

There is only one cure for LeBron’s lack of grace and sportmanship. When he does win,
the losing team should just walk off the floor and not shake his hand. He will get the message. So many kids look up to this guy. What message is he sending to them?
The NBA CARES! Disappointing.
May 31st, 2009 at 11:00 am
lebron was the first one to leave. his temmates are on court, shaiking hands, congratulating, etc.
immaturity at it’s finest. now i can watch a quality finals without this fool’s asshatery.
May 31st, 2009 at 11:39 am
Poor form, LeBron…Didn’t you ever learn as a kid that sometimes you win, sometimes you lose?! Not to mention that he doesn’t represent the NBA or his team or his city well by that kind of behavior. So can everyone STOP fawning over him already?! Great ambassadors show grace under pressure and defeat, as well as when the spotlight is shining. Poor form…lost lots of respect for you, LeBron.

As seen first on Cursedcleveland.com!
June 1st, 2009 at 12:13 pm
Please…everyone just stop whining. So he didn’t shake hands. So what? Yeah, it was a mistake. But which of those guys (Kobe, Dwight DWade, Barkley, Garnett) hasn’t made just as big or BIGGER mistakes. C’mon…get over yourselves.
June 1st, 2009 at 2:46 pm
WOW!!! I see everyone here is a HATER!!! First of all, Kobe is old news and he has the absolute worst attitude in the NBA! He’s arrogant, selfish, and on top of that he’s a snitch…so what if LeBron didn’t shake Howards hand…we’re not in elementary school! He’s a grown man that was upset that something he worked so hard for was snatched away from him and I feel him! I love King James, he is the best and all the Kobe d**k riders can suck a fat one!!!
June 1st, 2009 at 6:07 pm
okay listen lebron plain and simple is a baby look at kobe he didnt complain with the dahntey jones thing now did he. king james is friends with howard and he just leaves the court show some respect and all the kids look up to him jesus christnickle hes such a noob fag
June 1st, 2009 at 6:09 pm
wow look at this
James said he sent an e-mail to Howard following Saturday’s game.
“It’s hard for me to congratulate somebody after you just lose to them,” he said. “I’m a winner. It’s not being a poor sport or anything like that. If somebody beats you up, you’re not going to congratulate them. That doesn’t make sense to me. I’m a competitor. That’s what I do. It doesn’t make sense for me to go over and shake somebody’s hand.”
June 1st, 2009 at 10:35 pm
I guess to Lebron all the other athletes throughout the ages who’ve lost games of any kind and shook the opponents hand were not competitors. Too bad; I never knew Lebron was the first real competitor, according to the doctrine of LeBron.
June 2nd, 2009 at 12:38 am
All the positive reputation that Lebron’s built up – smashed in one night. This isn’t a mistake. Do you see any remorse from Lebron for his actions? No. What a sore loser..
June 2nd, 2009 at 1:13 am
look what King Brat just said in his email to Howard,
“If somebody beats you up, you’re not going to congratulate them.”
this is his statement days after his defeat, mind relaxed and composed. what a mega sore loser.
June 2nd, 2009 at 3:09 am
Okay I can get over him not shaking hands. But leaving his team going to his mother’s house.
Are you serious all that talk about the cavs are one big family and he doesn’t even fly back with his team. i know that kind of guy i fight with him everyday of my life (talking about myself). That as long as things are good i’m with you but soon as trouble comes or you can’t do anything for me anymore i’m out. Like I said i can get over him not shaking hands with the magic but deserting your team when they need you the most. That’s just ………
June 2nd, 2009 at 7:26 am
Nobody is perfect! I wouldn’t be shaking hands if i lost like that either! Lebron is a good man he just needed some cooling off time. He has worked hard to get the cavs to the finals and this was supposed to be his year! At least we won’t hear anything about him rapping anybody (Kobe)!!
June 2nd, 2009 at 11:16 am
I understand not shaking hands with the winners players thats not cool. I am not a lebron Fan AT ALL. However, When your at that level you want to win and your certainly no going to stick around and talk to the media in front of a the cheering crowd that just beat you badly I don’t blame him for going to the locker room a player of his caliber has one focus to win and was expected to win THAT is pressuereso you could imagine he not only let himself down but his entire team take those emotions into account and you would’nt be hanging around either. And George Don’t make up shi* that lebron sent a enmail to Howard and said all that what are you on their email list! I doubt it LOL. Like I bad choice. Now, All you Kobe riders that are callig lebron a bitch snitch punk… I doubt you have the balls to say that to him in person! LMAO. So Kobe is a good player yes as far as attitude and selfishness he’s the wost damn player in the NBA ( most likely in history) DO your research he’s been a problem Child from the get go so take hi Cock out of your mouth and see the truth. Jordan himself walked off the floor during a losing playoff game so are we going to slam him? I doubt it, Great players play with their heart his was Broken. Give tehe guy a break the hype Nike and Gatorade put on is enough to make him look like an ass already! Go Blazers! next year it won’t be the lakers taking the western conf. And I” send anyone that replies a reallu nice Kobe Game used material card if they do. Gratn

for all you Kobe d*@kriders out there…watch this video:
http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=4225341
Your beloved Kobe, didn’t shake it up in Boston in 08 or in Phoenix in 06…You guys are all just butthurt because it is Kobe’s time to pass the reigns to Lebron and you don’t want to see it happen…So go back to your Kobe-shrines and continue to ignore every negative thing Kobe does and try and blow up any and every flaw that Lebron has on or off the court…

i had a senario happen to me this weekend that had nuttin to do wit basketball but is the same as this situation my best friend from 4 years old was marrying my cousin an asked me to be the best man in the wedding the day of the wedding 5 min. b4 it was about to start he told me that i wasnt going to be the best man and he was goin to get his brother to do it, so i walked out of the church and didnt attend the wedding at all, although what he did was wrong (i felt), being as how i love him and my cousin i should have chalked my feelings up and stayed in the church to show my respect and love for my family, just like he should have showed respect and love for the game, everything doesnt all ways go the way as planned but as adults there are times when we have to put our feelins aside and man up an do the right thing yea he was hurt and so was i but that still does not give him or me the right act like a child when a man is called for. stuff happens and if they would have won, then he wouldnt have to deal wit that pain but they didnt so he has to dig deep in his self to find whats is the right thing to do and do it no matter what he felt because that day wasnt his day, it was the magics, jus like that day wasnt my day, it was my cousin and best friends. there is just still a little bit of boy in that man and still a little bit of prince in that king, this is a growing experience and all we can do is hope he learned from it.

Who cares if Lebron didn’t shake Orlando Magic’s hands. Hasn’t anyone lost a game and showed some emotion. Like MJ said in this life you are remembered for winning
and not how you play the game or act after the game. Im tired of all these babies crying saying he didn’t show good sportsmanship.
June 4th, 2009 at 7:40 pm
On another note kbstreat, you should have slapped your best friend after his honeymoon. He gave you his word that you were the best man. What kind of man goes back on his word 5 minutes before a special day like his wedding.
I probably would have left too. I mean everyone knew you were the best man ( your family).
June 10th, 2009 at 10:16 pm
Ok Ok Ok……… listen to all of ya. First of All who cares if the man didn’t shake hands. He’s not the first and dam sure won’t be the last. I have sat here and and listen to everyone talk about Kobe this and Labron that, TV has gotten all ya hype up over these two. From the nike and vit. water adds to anything else. They are both good in there own way, they bothe bring something to the table for their team, use and the NBA. Kobe has made his mistakes and now Labron made one. Should he have shake hands?????????? Well……………. I think he should have but that dam sure don’t make him a bad person. Besides at the end of the day we bashing them and they still getting paid twice as much as we ever will get, so its not hurting them at all. They both are cocky and cand back it up, so they have a right to be. So on that note just let it be.
