The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Portland Trailblazers 102-94 in Oregon Christmas night despite Josh Howard being ejected with two technicals. In an attempt to prove that he has Howard’s back, Mavs pg Jason Kidd took out referee Jim Clark.

J-Kidd clearly put a little extra into his shove of Jim Clark, but before you rip Jason for knocking down an old man look at things from his perspective. You’re a world-class athlete running full-speed ahead when some old ref backpedals into your path. You could probably go down without hurting him but with the way referees have been attacking athletes lately it’s best to play it safe and take him out.
