David Wright of the New York Mets saved the United States’ baseball ass with a bases-load walk-off single against Puerto Rico Tuesday night in the World Baseball Classic. Too bad Wright and the Mets don’t come through in the clutch like this in September or October.
We hear that our professional athletes don’t give a damn about anything except their next paycheck. But if you look at the baseball team in the video or Team USA celebrating their gold medal, you can tell that these guys want to win no matter what.
