David Steckel redirected Brooks Laich’s shot past Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury six minutes and twenty-two seconds into overtime of Game 6 to force a do or die Game 7. After the Caps celebrated Alex Ovechkin skated around the ice, motioning for the Penguins fans to be quiet.
I don’t care if it’s MLB, the NBA, or the NHL a game seven is as good as it gets. Two teams leaving it all on the floor (unless it’s the Lakers against the Suns) for a chance to advance to the next round. I’ll take Ovechkin and the Caps at home in Game 7 but I hope Sidney Crosby scores four goals in defeat.
