The Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets battled for control of the Western Conference in Game 5 at Staples Center. Chris “Birdman” Andersen set the tone early for the Nuggets by blocking two of Lamar Odom’s dunk attempts. The Lakers got the last laughs when Shannon Brown and Lamar Odom dunked on Birdman.
With the Lakers trailing 73-68, Shannon Brown rose up and threw one down on Birdman and seemingly changed the momentum of the game.
You can tell the Lakers were motivated by Brown’s dunk because a few moments later LO got loose. Lamar Odom put down his candy just long enough to posterize Birdman with a classic Giddy Up Ride ‘Em dunk.
