The fuzzy video below is from an Arizona bar in 2006 and allegedly features San Diego Padres outfielder Brian Giles abusing his then girlfriend Cheri Olvera. The video was released following Olvera’s filing of a $10 million civil suit against Giles for verbal and physical abuse during their relationship.

First off.. The bar needs new security cameras. I couldn’t tell if that was Brian Giles or Brett Myers. I can see Giles beating the rap on this because I can’t be sure that’s him on the video..

Secondly, assuming that is Brian Giles on the video, he’s done. Cheri Olvera blames Giles for one of her two miscarriages and he’s on tape. I don’t believe he can get jail time from a civil case but what team is gonna pick him up after this? Just kidding. Any team with a hole in their outfield and a need for a career .294 hitter will still want Giles’ services.
