Major League Baseball installed an instant replay system last Thursday, and it was put to the test Wednesday night in the Yankees-Rays game. The call in question was a 9th-inning shot down the left field line that hit a catwalk. Of course the batter was Mr. Always in the Middle of Something Alex Rodriguez.

A controversy involved Alex Rodriguez and for the first time he didn’t do anything wrong. Doesn’t matter though. Yankees fans will still say it was a meaningless home run, and New Yorkers will continue to hate A-Rod.
