Tiger Woods made his first real public appearance since the infamous car accident (the jogging photo op and sneak pic at rehab don’t count) at a Friday Morning press conference. Woods wasn’t wearing his wedding ring as he read from a statement and apologized to his wife Elin, his children, and family. He admitted to being in therapy although he never used the words “sex” or “addiction”, and he says he plans to return to golf but he doesn’t know when. Here’s the video of Tiger’s press conference. My thoughts follow.
Like Tiger said that Elin said, his true apology will come through his actions, not his words. I want to believe that he’s sorry and remorseful for what he did and not just sad that he got caught cheating. Saying sorry and accepting blame are lip-service unless he backs up his talk with actions.
