What a difference the development of Andrew Bynum and a trade for Pau Gasol makes. Kobe Bryant, the trade demanding primadonna NBA superstar, has turned into Kobe Bryant, the NBA MVP. If you would have told me back in May or June of ‘07 that Mitch Kupchak would pull off the best Lakers trade since Vlade for Kobe in ‘96, and that the Mamba would be happily leading Los Angeles, I would have slapped you. Fast forward to February 2008, Kobe’s dressing up as Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, and Mozart (plus 2 more to be announced on KB24.com) and the Lakers look like the team to beat.. For the next 4-5 years.
