The Washington Redskins are a disaster on and off the field. The team’s condition has brought Hall of Famers John Riggins and Joe Theisman to exchange words. Since they’re in ‘Wait ’til next year’ mode the Skins have nothing left to do but quit on their coach and start sideline brawls.
The quitting on the coach is already in progress from management and player standpoints. The sideline fighting went into effect after LaRon Landry late hit Falcons QB Matt Ryan out-of-bounds. Pushing and shoving followed with Ryan calmly pulling Landry away from the situation.. He should have grabbed DeAngelo Hall. The NFC East took a division wide ass whooping Sunday with the Giants getting stomped in New Orleans, the Eagles failing to show up in Oakland, and the Redskins losing to the winless Chiefs. The Dallas Cowboys had a bye week but they’re the Cowboys which is a loss in itself. Read the full story

The Washington Redskins single-handedly ended the Lions 19-game losing streak although all the credit will go to Detroit for rallying together for the 19-14 victory at Ford Field. I’ll give new head coach Jim Schwartz credit for getting his team on the field because that’s all he needed to do. Sorry to rain on the Lions parade but the win says more about the state of the ‘Skins (Owner, coaching, and players) than it does about Detroit. Read the full story

Clinton Portis of the Washington Redskins celebrated the inauguration of Barack Obama with a party. I expected Clinton to show up as one of his characters, but I guess CP decided to tone it down considering the magnitude of the event.
