The biggest criticisms of Tim Tebow’s transition to the NFL are his slow delivery and lack of experience taking snaps under center. His greatest attribute is being a winner. Experts and regular folks use these points to predict whether Tebow will be a bust or a Hall of Famer. As if the question can be answered without knowing who he’s playing for, how good the players around him are and if he has a competent coaching staff.
One person on the pro-Tebow wagon is former NFL head coach Sam Wyche. Let him tell it, you can reserve Tim’s spot in Honolulu (or wherever the Pro Bowl) is for years to come. Read the full story

Tim Tebow finished the regular season of his career at Florida with a five touchdown effort in the Gators 37-10 whupping of in-state rival FSU. I don’t mean to turn into one of those people that gush over Tim Tebow but he scored something like 1,000 touchdowns, saved three old-women from a burning building, beatdown Godzilla and Mothra, and he circumcised boys in the Philippines in his free time. The Florida Gators easily handled the Kentucky Wildcats 41-7 Saturday at Commonwealth Stadium and will retain their No. 1 ranking. Unfortunately for the Gators quarterback Tim Tebow was injured and taken to a hospital following a third quarter sack. Right now it’s believed Tebow is suffering from a concussion. LeBron James got dunked on by Jordan Crawford at the LeBron James Skills Academy and Nike confiscated the video tape. Everybody knows about that. We should give up hoping the video will surface one day because the Nike people destroyed those tapes right after taking them from the cameramen.
Whether Nike has the tapes, or Conan O’Brien got his copy back, I spoke to a number of athletes about LeBron James releasing the video. The votes are heavy in one direction, but Kurt Warner makes the best case. Read the full story

ESPN and a bunch of athletes and celebrities were in Los Angeles this week for the taping of the ESPY awards. I got a chance to spend a couple of days at the ESPY Style Studio to take in the scene and speak to some players.
There was all kinds of loot for the ESPY participants to pickup including Skull Candy headphones, Karl Lagerfeld sunglasses, Redpepper jeans, and Kefir, which is the health drink of choice for a lot of jocks.
It was a good trip overall, and after the jump I interview a Heisman trophy winner, a couple of NBA champions, and a guy that’s not a big fan of sports blogs. Read the full story
