Tiger Woods trailed Padraig Harrington by one shot on the 16th at Firestone when he did what Tiger does: Make amazing shots. Woods’ third shot on the par-5 16th sat 178 yards away from hole, but Tiger dropped his ball from the heavens to within a foot of the flag. Harrington fell apart that. Read the full story

Tiger Woods is known for being the heir apparent to the “Greatest Golfer Ever” title, having a hot wife, and for being straight-laced. Woods rarely cracks a smile, let alone a joke, unless he’s just sunk another of his incredible shots. That’s why Tiger’s attempt at humor after winning the 2009 AT&T National was surprising. Roger Federer defeated Andy Roddick 5-7, 7-6 (6), 7-6 (5), 3-6, 16-14 to capture his 15th Grand Slam title, giving him the all-time record for Slams. Federer leaves Pete Sampras behind at 14 titles, but it took a record 30 game fifth-set for Federer to unseat Sampras. Unfortunately, Andy Roddick comes up short again but he didn’t lose. He was beaten by a legend.

Cheyenne Woods missed the cut of her first professional tournament, shooting 5-over through two rounds of the Wegman LPGA. Cheyenne is most famous for being the niece of Tiger Woods, and sharing some of his talents. Hopefully people let her and her game develop instead of putting undue pressure on her because of her family ties. Michelle Wie has shown us what hyped up expectations can lead to. Tiger Woods shot a 65 on Sunday and finished at -12 to win the Memorial, highlighted by shots on holes 11 and 18. Woods started the day four back of the lead, but you knew the field was in trouble when eagled the 11th. Read the full story
