Team USA was 24 seconds from the silver medal until Zach Parise found the back of the net to force overtime at 2-2. You could feel the Canadian angst through your television. The momentum Team USA seemed to build as regulation time expired was short-lived. Sidney Crosby came through with a goal like you would expect the second coming of The Great One to do. The United States’ soccer team got the country interested in the world’s game for a few days last week by pulling off an upset of number one ranked Spain. The U.S. citizens were ready to go into full bandwagon mode when Clint Demspey and Landon Donovan put Team USA up 2-0 against Brazil, but the Brazilian rally put the party on hold.
