The Philadelphia Eagles destroyed the Atlanta Falcons 34-7 on Sunday while allowing Michael Vick to rebuild his worth as a quarterback. The crowd in the Georgia Dome greeted Vick with cheers and boos but there was loud applause when he ran and threw for touchdowns and when he left the field. Vick doesn’t have the blazing speed he possessed three years ago but he showed he can still whip it down the field on a pass to Reggie Brown. Overall the day was a success for Michael Vick. He’s a threat to score whenever he touches the ball and he’s gonna be just as exciting in the NFL. Adrian Peterson took the first handoff of the game 75 yards for a touchdown to prove the Minnesota Vikings did the right thing by bringing in Brett Favre. Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli ran over Moore on his way to a 41-yard touchdown, and running back LeGarrette Blount jumped over Moore on his way to the game sealing score.
Sammy Morris of the New England Patriots smashed Donte Whitner of the Buffalo Bills at the end of the third quarter in New England’s 13-0 win at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Whitner had a bad shoulder before the attempted tackle which is the least of his concerns since Sammy Morris just ran through his chest.
