The Philadelphia Eagles destroyed the Atlanta Falcons 34-7 on Sunday while allowing Michael Vick to rebuild his worth as a quarterback. The crowd in the Georgia Dome greeted Vick with cheers and boos but there was loud applause when he ran and threw for touchdowns and when he left the field. Vick doesn’t have the blazing speed he possessed three years ago but he showed he can still whip it down the field on a pass to Reggie Brown. Overall the day was a success for Michael Vick. Let’s see if the Eagles keep him in the mix or if this was a one time homecoming deal. Read the full story

You can’t blame the woes of Notre Dame football or coach Charlie Weis on Fighting Irish running back Golden Tate. He’s a threat to score whenever he touches the ball and he’s gonna be just as exciting in the NFL. The Stanford Cardinal got to see plenty of Golden Tate and they stood no chance of tackling him on this nice touchdown catch and run. Read the full story

Felix Jones is part of a running back trio in Dallas and got the start Monday night because of an injury to Marion Barber. This was particularly bad news for Carolina Panthers safety Charles Godfrey. He attempted to tackle Jones, but got juked into roller skates and disappeared from the television. Read the full story

Three games into his NFL career it seems New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez can do no wrong. He takes part in a questionable photoshoot and then pulls the super model he’s posing with. His ill-advised passes have found the ground or his receivers instead of the competition.

Adrian Peterson took the first handoff of the game 75 yards for a touchdown to prove the Minnesota Vikings did the right thing by bringing in Brett Favre. It’s only a preseason game, and Peterson did all of the work, but there’s some sorta law or ordinance that says you have to praise Brett Favre whenever possible. Read the full story

The Oregon Ducks beat Oklahoma State 42-31 to win the Holiday Bowl in San Diego using a physical running game and the two best plays came at the expense of OSU’s Quinton Moore. Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli ran over Moore on his way to a 41-yard touchdown, and running back LeGarrette Blount jumped over Moore on his way to the game sealing score.

Sammy Morris of the New England Patriots smashed Donte Whitner of the Buffalo Bills at the end of the third quarter in New England’s 13-0 win at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Whitner had a bad shoulder before the attempted tackle which is the least of his concerns since Sammy Morris just ran through his chest.
