An 18-year-old New Yorker is suing the city for $1 million because police called him “Plaxico Burress” after he had been shot. Christian Dudley claims he was shot during a robbery attempt, but police charged him with criminal possession of a weapon after deeming his wound self-inflicted.

Reason #45983 that it’s good to be a celebrity: people care about your opinions on anything. In this video a reporter is talking to Akon about performing in front of a large crowd and the Christmas party he’s throwing with Lil Wayne. At 1:20 he decides to ask for Akon’s opinion on Plaxico Burress shooting himself in the leg.
At first Akon gives the standard “I have no idea” response and seems like he doesn’t wanna speak on the subject, but his inner advice giver kicks in and the semi-comedy ensues.
It’s the holiday season and the Plaxico Burress shoots self in the leg story is the gift that keeps on giving. Earlier this week I brought you the Plaxico Burress/50 Cent “In da Club” video, and now courtesy of The Colbert Report comes the story of A Man Named Plaxico.. And his Glock.
By now you’ve all heard about New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burressgoing Suge Knight (??) and accidentally shooting himself in the leg. Plax is going to turn himself in to New York police on a criminal weapon charge later today, and plans to enter a “Not guilty” plea.
In the meantime, somebody has recorded an ode to Burress and his problems over 50 Cent’s “In da Club” beat.
