We learned a few things when the Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers to win the 2008 NBA championship. The Lakers were too soft in the middle to deal with Boston, and Tom Thibodeau’s defensive schemes (Along with quality players) were able to hold Kobe Bryant in check. We also learned that Boston knows how to riot.

Game 3 of the NBA Finals was an important game. If the Lakers had won they would’ve held a back breaking 3-0 lead. The Magic needed the game to stay alive and to give themselves some hope moving forward. The game was also incredibly important to Johnathan Weaver of Las Vegas, who tied up his girlfriend’s one and two year old sons in order to watch Game 3 at a bar. Read the full story

The series is over now that the Lake Show leads 3-1, but it would’ve been 2-2 (With the City of Angels in full panic mode) if D-Fish didn’t hit a clutch, game-tying three with 4.6 left in regulation. The Orlando Magic, led by 40 and 14 from Superman Dwight Howard, finished off the Cleveland Cavaliers with an easy 103-90 victory in Game 6. The Magic fans celebrated the franchise’s second trip to the NBA Finals by throwing a t-shirt at Ernie Johnson of the NBA on TNT. Read the full story

Dwight Howard knocked down the shot clock atop of the Orlando Magic basket with a monster dunk in the first quarter against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The jam doesn’t reach the level of Darryl Dawkins or Shaquille O’Neal tearing down a basket, but it’s still impressive. Read the full story

Shaquille O’Neal and the Phoenix Suns didn’t make the playoffs giving Shaq tons of free time to be the “Big” everything. He’s flirted with Krispy Kremes, helped out a 7-4 12-year-old, and done some MMA training.
