LeBron James joined Jay Leno for Ten@Ten on NBC’s desperate attempt to save money and get ratings. At least they’re getting one of their goals accomplished. We learned from the ten questions that LeBron thinks Ray Allen is a better shooter than Steve Nash and Plaxico Burress, and that the King will not do ads in tiny underwear. Read the full story

Jim Brown recently said Adrian Peterson was the best running back in the NFL, inspiring Ladainian Tomlinson to proclaim that he’s still the top dog. LeBron James got dunked on by Jordan Crawford at the LeBron James Skills Academy and Nike confiscated the video tape. Everybody knows about that. We should give up hoping the video will surface one day because the Nike people destroyed those tapes right after taking them from the cameramen.
Whether Nike has the tapes, or Conan O’Brien got his copy back, I spoke to a number of athletes about LeBron James releasing the video. The votes are heavy in one direction, but Kurt Warner makes the best case. Read the full story

This video features Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley laughing it up and taking turns interviewing each other during a break from the 1996 Nike tour in Japan. I learned one thing by watching this clip: Michael Jordan was no better judge of talent in 1996 than he was in 2006. I apologize for the kung fu movie nature of the video. Read the full story

By now you’ve all heard the news. Nike, the sneaker snazis, have confiscated all videos of LeBron James being dunked on by college student Jordan Crawford. The slam took place at the LeBron James Skills Academy where I can only assume Xavier’s Crawford scored high marks for dunking.
Gary Parrish broke the story on CBS Sports, and he joined Hartman and Myers on Fox Sports Radio to talk about the incident. Parrish told the show LeBron was willing to talk about the dunk last night, but Nike Basketball Senior Director Lynn Merritt came over and said LeBron will be answering no questions. NBA fans that wanted to see how Ricky Rubio held up against the league’s competition will have to wait two years according to reports out of Spain. Rubio will honor the final two years of his DKV Joventut contract, leaving the Minnesota Timberwolves at the altar.
We’ve known this has been a possibility since draft night when Ricky’s dad said he might stay in Europe. All NBA and Minnesota Timberwolves fans can do is watch this Ricky Rubio Nike commercial and think about what could have been. Read the full story
