Michael Vick’s return to the NFL has been less than spectacular so far. He’s 0-2 passing and he’s rushed one time for seven yards. He’s only played in one game due to a two-game suspension and the Eagles’ early bye-week. Donovan McNabb’s back in the starting line-up meaning Mike will be stuck in the wildcat.
Vick has expressed a desire to get on the field as a starting quarterback but he can’t impress any GMs as Philly’s third-stringer. There’s enough bad quarterback play in the league for somebody to make Michael their starter next season, but if there isn’t any interest there’s one league that will welcome him with open arms. Michael Vick made his long-awaited return to the football field Sunday in a less than spectacular fashion. The Eagles used Vick 11 times and he gained seven yards. There didn’t seem to be too much backlash against Vick from the fans, but anybody that has something to say about Vick is gonna have to deal with his number one fan. Read the full story

Chris Mortensen just reported during the Arizona Cardinals-Pittsburgh Steelers preseason game on ESPN that Michael Vick has signed a two-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. Read the full story

Allen Iverson hasn’t found a new NBA job so he’s spending the summer relaxing in his home state of Virginia. AI was reportedly hanging out with Michael Vick at a strip club, and he recently cut the rug at his celebrity basketball game. Read the full story

Michael Vick has been suspended by the NFL indefinitely, and a timetable for him to return to the league is impossible to set. Even after Roger Goodell clears Vick to play there still has to be a team willing to sign Michael and the circus that comes with him. Read the full story

It’s kinda funny that the NFL is willing to go to court over some guys mistakenly taking a banned substance meanwhile Matt Jones is still playing football after being busted for cocaine over the summer. (The Starting Five)

• Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher still respects Michael Vick’s game
Michael Vick is counting down the days until his release from federal prison in Leavenworth, Kansas, and until he can return until the NFL. Even though he isn’t playing that doesn’t mean Michael Vick isn’t on the minds of NFL players.
