Manny Pacquaio cemented his place as pound-for-pound champion of boxing with a 12 round beat down of the bigger Miguel Cotto. In the first round it looked like Cotto’s size and power would be too much for Pacquiao to handle as I thought the fight would go. But Pacquaio dropped Cotto in the third and fourth rounds, and by the sixth round Manny had Cotto figured out and was stalking him around the ring. Referee Kenny Bayless mercifully stopped the fight in the 12th round to prevent further damage to Cotto’s face. Read the full story

Brock Lesnar knocked out Frank Mir in the second round of their UFC 100 match Saturday night to avenge last year’s loss to Mir. The bigger Lesnar smothered Mir and then finished him with 13 unanswered punches to the head. We need a rubbermatch. Read the full story
