Total access in sports is a double-edged sword. Yes we get to see what goes on behind the scenes but often Twitter or a microphone can do more damage than good. The NFL Network decided to listen in on Denver Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels while he pumped up his team. What they ended up broadcasting was McDaniels cussing and making this a very Samuel L. Phillies-Yankees, Eagles-Giants, Rocky-Liberty. It’s been all Philadelphia vs. New York since the World Series teams were decided. Both cities are known for having live-and-die fans that can be just as hard on their own team as they are on the opponents. Punter Hunter Smith got the Washington Redskins on the board against the New York Giants when he ran a fake field goal eight yards for a touchdown. Of course the Redskins still went on to lose the game 23-17, but Hunter Smith gets to add to his career highlight reel. Read the full story
