Greg Paulus used his final year of eligibility to return home to upstate New York and play quarterback for Syracuse University. What seemed like a good idea at the time for the former Duke point guard has suddenly turned into a debacle. The team is 3-5, Big East leading receiver Mike Williams quit the squad, and head coach Doug Marrone teared up while talking about fans booing Paulus Saturday. Read the full story

David Beckham and Tom Cruise are well-known BFFs, so much so that the new book, “The Beckham Experiment”, dedicates a chapter to their bromance. The book says Cruise has influenced every major Beckham decision since 2003 which I find hard to believe. That would be like Michael Jackson being one of the most influential people in Magic Johnson’s life..Bad example. Read the full story

• The former Florida State and NFL wide receiver has signed
to play indoor football
For all of you that were sitting around saying “I wonder what happened to Peter Warrick”, wonder no more. The former Florida State wide receiver, and fourth overall pick in the 2000 NFL draft has signed with the Bloomington Extreme of the Indoor Football League.
This isn’t Warrick’s first dance with indoor football; he signed with the Las Vegas Gladiators of the Arena Football League in 2007, but he never played because he thought he was going back to the NFL.
Extreme coach Kenton Carr is excited about adding Warrick to his roster.
