It seems like not to long ago fans of the Chicago Bears were pumped up because Jay Cutler was in and Kyle Orton was out. One game down in the 2009 season and the joke’s on da Bears. Orton pulled off a miracle against the Bengals while Jay Cutler went to Green Bay and threw four interceptions in a 21-15 Sunday night loss. The Dallas Mavericks delayed their execution for a game with a 119-117 victory over the Denver Nuggets at the American Airlines Center Monday night, and nobody gives a damn. The news of the series isn’t the Nuggets’ 3-1 lead. It’s Mavs owner Mark Cuban’s battle with Kenyon Martin and his mother.

Cuban referred to Kenyon as a thug while speaking to Martin’s mother which pissed of K-Mart and he vowed to take care of it. He came pretty close during and after the game. Read the full story

• The Philadelphia Phillies win the World Series with a 4-3 Game 5 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays

Congratulations to the Philadelphia Phillies for winning the World Series and ending championship droughts for the team and city that lasted nearly 30 years. The Phils defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3 in Wednesday’s conclusion to Monday’s suspended game five, and Cole Hamels was named World Series MVP. The Phillies set Philly free at last and and the city hopes the winning spills over to the Eagles. Read the full story
