Jerry Jones built his $1.2 billion dollar sports palace as a home for the Dallas Cowboys and as the ideal location for any sporting event he can get his hands on. The new Cowboys Stadium has already hosted a Jonas Brothers concert, a college basketball game, three soccer games, five college football games (including the Big 12 Championship and the Cotton Bowl) and the NBA All-Star game. Manny Pacquiao is set to fight Joshua Clottey March 13 at Jerryville and the stadium hosts Super Bowl XLV in February 2011.
There wouldn’t seem to be much room for any other events but never say never to Jerry Jones. He’s now trying to pull the National Finals Rodeo from Las Vegas to Cowboys Stadium. Read the full story

Dwight Howard spent most of the 2010 NBA All-Star Weekend answering questions about whether he or Shaquille O’Neal should don the Superman title. Howard hasn’t come out and said he’s stepping away from the Man of Steel theme but he did joke that he’s Batman now. Stay tuned.
On the court Batman/Superman Howard showed new abilities when he hit a three-pointer in the first quarter of the All-Star game. If he could hit 3s on a regular basis and develop a better post game he could start making his case for Superman. Read the full story

Donovan McNabb led the Philadelphia Eagles into Cowboys Stadium for a Wildcard showdown with what looks like will be his best moves of the night. He danced and did some air-guitar before yelling at some Cowboys fans. The Eagles responded by getting beat into a 27-7 hole. Read the full story

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones crammed people into his billion dollar stadium any way he could in a successful attempt to set an all-time regular season attendance record in the NFL. One scheme scam ruse idea Jones had was the “Party Pass.” Fans were given standing room only access to the stadium for $29, and many feel they didn’t get their money’s worth. Read the full story

The Dallas Cowboys‘ new stadium is sitting on a goldmine of natural gas although language in the contracts between the team and owners of the gas beneath the stadium prevent any drilling. Recent earthquakes in North Texas are believed to be caused by natural gas drilling. There are worries that drilling beneath Cowboys Stadium would cracks or sinking. Read the full story
