Roger Federer defeated Robin Soderling 6-1, 7-6 (1), 6-4 to win the French Open, complete the career Grand Slam, and tie Pete Sampras at 14 major titles. The highlight of the match was when a nutty Barcelona fan named Jimmy Jump ran on the court and rubbed a flag in Federer’s face. Read the full story

• Barry Bonds’ trainer Greg Anderson caught on tape discussing steroids and Barry Bonds
The government is going after Barry Bonds like he’s the Pablo Escobar of the Steroid Era, and they’re latest evidence sounds like a bombshell. The Feds have tape of Barry Bonds’ trainer and non-rat Greg Anderson talking to former Barry Bonds buddy and full-blown vermin Steve Hoskins about the ins and outs of steroid use and why they’ll never get caught.
ESPN played the audio on SportsCenter and they’ve posted the transcript at the dot com. There’s some question as to how much of this recording (if any) will be allowed in court, but Bonds’ already crappy public perception is gonna take a big hit. Read the full story

Former NFL running back Travis Henry appeared in a Denver court Monday for a hearing stemming from his Sept. 30 arrest on suspicion of knowingly and intentionally conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine. Henry is being held on $400,000 bail and faces a minimum of 10 years in prison if convicted.
Travis Henry only needs to come up with $40k to get out of jail, the same amount that’s owed to Henry by the person that snitched on him. Life’s funny like that. Trafficks Henry will have to follow some strict rules if he’s able to make bail. Read the full story

O.J. Simpson goes on trial for kidnapping and armed robbery today in Las Vegas, so he had a run-in with the law on Sunday to get him warmed up for court. Simpson was driving on I-15 in Vegas when he was pulled over by the Nevada Highway Patrol. At first I thought O.J. was trying to flee the state but it turns out somebody reported him for drunken driving.
