Standing face-to-face with Claudia Jordan made me feel how the Dodgers must’ve felt in Game 3 of the LCS when Cliff Lee took the mound for the Phillies. I knew I was over-matched and in turn I delivered the interview equivalent of a weak ground-ball to second. Thankfully, Claudia Jordan was dealing.
Jordan arrived at the London Hotel in West Hollywood looking incredible as usual. She and numerous celebs were on hand for ESPN the Magazine’s Body Issue party. Claudia gave me a few minutes of her time and let me know what she looks for in a man, and she drops some info that’ll make John Salley blush. Read the full story

ESPN the Magazine’s “Body Issue” hits newsstands Oct. 9, and features more than 30 male and female athletes showing off their money makers. So far ESPN has been keeping a lid on who will be in the Body Issue, but USA Today is reporting Nascar’s Carl Edwards, surfer Claire Bevilacqua, U.S. Olympic softball player Jessica Mendoza, and Adrian Peterson are among the chosen. LeBron James joined Jay Leno for Ten@Ten on NBC’s desperate attempt to save money and get ratings. At least they’re getting one of their goals accomplished. We learned from the ten questions that LeBron thinks Ray Allen is a better shooter than Steve Nash and Plaxico Burress, and that the King will not do ads in tiny underwear. Read the full story

Adrian Peterson took the first handoff of the game 75 yards for a touchdown to prove the Minnesota Vikings did the right thing by bringing in Brett Favre. It’s only a preseason game, and Peterson did all of the work, but there’s some sorta law or ordinance that says you have to praise Brett Favre whenever possible. Read the full story

LeBron James got dunked on by Jordan Crawford at the LeBron James Skills Academy and Nike confiscated the video tape. Everybody knows about that. We should give up hoping the video will surface one day because the Nike people destroyed those tapes right after taking them from the cameramen.
Whether Nike has the tapes, or Conan O’Brien got his copy back, I spoke to a number of athletes about LeBron James releasing the video. The votes are heavy in one direction, but Kurt Warner makes the best case. Read the full story
