Mike Greenberg of ESPN’s “Mike and Mike in the Morning” had an alleged slip-of-the-tongue on Monday in which he disparaged the name of Martin Luther King Jr. I’m sure you know the details. Greenberg and ESPN offered a Jason Giambi like apology yesterday where Mike says sorry for saying something but we have to guess what it is. There’s no mention of Martin Luther King Jr. No mention of disrespecting the man on a day set aside to honor him.
Greenberg made the mistake on his radio and television show. That’s the same place he should offer a real, sincere apology. Unless he meant it. Then he shouldn’t apologize at all.

His explanation is as phoney as his hair. That is a racist comment that is said every year at this time. He said it and is still on the air. Shows how much ESPN cares about it’s Black viewers and the Black young men and women that they use to make their money.
Give me a break. Black people jump on any mistake out there to try and ruin someones career. Obviously the ignorant ones are the idiots who think that Mike Greenberg would ever say anything like that on purpose. Get a life you losers. The guy works for ESPN, and himslef has covered the blow up media stories on other journalists or radio announcers who said things as a joke or on purpose, and you think he would actually say COON on purpose, on ESPN Radio, and put his show and career in jeopardy? LOL, It’s laughable how stupid you people are. On any given day, black athletes, students, and musicians call each other N—-R!, and Yet NONE OF YOU, offer up even a wimper of outcry. Yet a guy, who if you listen to the show sometimes has to talk very fats in order to get info out before commercials, makes a mistake and you jump all over him. If you’re really objective, then first go back and see if you can find ANY instance of racism in his past, THEN go back and listen to his shows, and you’ll realize that both he and Mike Golic BOTH have made mistakes on words in the past. Please, this is a non issue. You know what’s disturbing, watching the video from SC where players and parents got into a brawl after a HS basketball game. So here we have black parents fighting EACH OTHER and the WHITE MAN must have somehow made them do it. Where’s the call for the parents of that school to appoligize to the students, and to the community for acting like morons? Oh that’s right, no one holds black people accountable fro their mistakes, that’s racism. Give me a break!
HG, you have no sense. You’re a dolt with no understanding of how the real world works. It’s unbelievable that you or anyone would think he said anything disparaging intentionally. It was OBVIOUSLY a slip up of the word “King”, it was as arbitrary as if he’d said “Martin Luther blerp-King Day.” Please please PLEASE stop posting your unfounded nonsense you dummy.
