Tennis star and You Been Blinded Hall of Famer Serena Williams is a single woman again now that she and rapper Common recently ended their two-year relationship. Serena hasn’t spoken about the break-up but Common joined Fox Chicago News Tuesday and revealed the status of his love life. I hate to see couples break-up but I can live with this one since it puts Serena Williams back on the market.
Reporter: All of the ladies I know wanna know if you are now available. Are you no longer so interested in tennis?
Common: I’m not married, I’ll say that. I still definitely have respect for tennis but I’m not married. And everything is positive, everything is good. Did I give a good Barack answer? A good political answer? I am single. I am a single man, definitely. But everything is good with tennis.
If Common had made the announcement prior to “Just Wright” being released I would call the break-up a publicity stunt designed to draw more women to the theater. The movie’s been out for close to a month so it looks like this is simply an answered prayer.
