Ron Artest showed up for his NBA Finals Game 7 postgame press conference buzzed on champagne and the thrill of being a world champion. He was surrounded by his family as he offered long, introspective and entertaining answers that didn’t necessarily match the questions the reporters asked. It was beautiful. Ron spoke about his psychiatrist again and told of Phil Jackson’s ability to mentally communicate with his players. Kobe had the best line in his postgame press conference when he said “I got one more than Shaq” but Ron-Ron had the best overall interview. He was so excited that he didn’t know what to do with himself and rightfully so. He overcame the drama of the Palace brawl and did the one thing Allen Iverson, Michael Vick and Terrell Owens couldn’t: He won the hood a championship.

I would care less what they say about Ron Artest. He is hilarious. Game is just a game but when Ron spoke the way he did, he brought in me the kind pleasure I never have with sports. Ron is beyond what we know about basketball: fun, exciting and life-changing to the extreme.
RON RON is one hilarious dude.
