Rob Parker Put on Stretcher after Brent Petway Facial

New York Jets receiver Braylon Edwards held a celebrity basketball game at Crisler Arena Saturday night to benefit the Michigan women’s basketball scholarship fund. I tip my hat to Mr. Edwards for raising money for a worthy cause and for inviting former U-M basketball player Brent Petway and sportswriter/radio host/ESPN 1st and 10 challenger Rob Parker to play in the game.

Petway has crazy hops. He won the NBA D-League Slam Dunk Contest in 2008. Parker had to know this but that didn’t stop him from jumping when Petway skied for a lob in the second quarter. Bad idea. He got posterized so badly that he was kicked out of the game and they carried him off of the court on a stretcher to add insult to Youtube infamy. Thankfully somebody was there to capture the video.

After the game Rob told AnnArbor.com’s Jeff Arnold that getting dunked on didn’t hurt and that he expected the video to make the rounds. He’s right about the video but he’s lying if he says his pride didn’t take a major loss.
