Tiger Woods is scuffling on and off of the golf course and hopping over to Ireland to play in the JP McManus Invitational Pro-Am wasn’t far enough to get away from his problems. Woods opened the tournament with a 7-over 79 before playing more like his old self on the second day, posting a 3-under-par 69.
Tiger sat down with reporters after his round on Tuesday and things quickly got personal. The scribes in Ireland don’t have to worry about being on Woods’ good-side in hopes of landing a formulaic, five-minute interview so they posed questions that guys on the PGA beat never could/would. Questions like
“With the recent behavior and the problems you’ve had, have you ever, is a time like this, some time, you risk losing families or you risk losing, let’s say, sponsorship companies or things, do you ever reflect and think ‘was it worth it?’”
It took a while for the reporter to get where he was going but it was worth the wait. Tiger answered “I think you’re looking to deep into this” and then dropped a couple of thank yous on the guy that really meant screw you. Looks like the prick part of his game is still in top form.
Fast-forward to the 30 second mark for the question that made Tiger shut down:

Actually, I think Tiger handled that perfectly.
I’m not sure how this makes him a prick. His life is simply not our business.
