By now you’ve heard about or been sent an email from a friend of a friend claiming to know what really happened with Tiger and Elin Woods Thanksgiving night and the days following. The supposed source of the information is an Isleworth insider or somebody close to Tiger’s circle depending on which variation you’ve been exposed to.
The email is a gumbo pot of a lot of stories you’ve heard about Tiger mixed with revelations that Elin took out his teeth with a 9-iron, and that only 30 percent of what TMZ and Radaronline have reported about the situation is accurate.
Here’s an example:
Friday after Tiger is released from the hospital, he does not return home, he and Mark board the plane for Phoenix. If you remember FHP kept showing up at Isleworth to talk to TIger, and was told by another FL attorney (who Tiger hired for PR reasons) Tiger was not ready to talk. Well now we know why, he was in Phoenix, and did not arrive back in Orlando until either late last Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.
Tiger’s car accident happened at 2:30 a.m. on Friday Nov. 27 and he was released from the hospital later the same day. The email and the facts are in line there. The Florida Highway Patrol released a statement Wednesday disproving some of the other claims.
FHP spokeswoman Kim Montes said Woods met with troopers at an undisclosed location on Dec. 1 to deliver his ticket and see if Woods had any injuries that might not be consistent with his traffic accident.
Montes said troopers only noted “a fat lip” and no other facial injuries — and no reason to believe he was the victim of domestic violence.
Those holding out hope for the email’s validity can argue that the undisclosed location was Phoenix but that would be dumber than the original email.
