Nigel De Jong Tries To Put a Hole in Xabi Alonso’s Chest

Soccer players aren’t known for being the toughest guys in sports. One thing the 2010 FIFA World Cup has displayed over the last month is that a stiff breeze is all that’s needed to send most of the players to the ground writhing in pain. Xabi Alonso of Spain is the exception to the norm. He took a devastating kick in the chest from Nigel De Jong of the Netherlands who was lucky to escape with only a yellow card. Alonso laid on the ground in pain for a few minutes before being able to continue. If he has any scars I’m sure he doesn’t mind since they came during the course of helping Spain to their first World Cup title.
