The Alabama Crimson Tide beat the Texas Longhorns 37-21 to capture the 2010 BCS Championship. Texas faced an uphill battle after Marcell Dareus knocked Colt McCoy out of the game in the first quarter. Freshman Garrett Gilbert did his best but his two interceptions and a fumble led to 21 Bama points.
The Alabama players showered head coach Nick Saban with Gatorade to celebrate the championship, but they approached too fast and hit Saban in the head with the bucket.
