NCAA Championship On the Line Tonight

After yet another frenzied tournament full of buzzer-beaters, more fresh-faced Cinderella teams and even a few extra games, the 2011 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship is finally ready to be won. The two teams that survived all the March Madness and made it to the big game are the Connecticut Huskies (UConn) and the Butler Bulldogs.

UConn is led by scoring sensation Kemba Walker, who not only makes buckets (24 points a game for the season) but also puts up 5 assists and 5 rebounds a game for the Huskies. He’s a talented player that is definitely on Butler’s radar.

For the Bulldogs, this year gives them an opportunity to win the championship they came so close to last year against Duke and solidify themselves as a team worthy of the attention and acclaim they’ve received during this incredible two year run. Them winning the title would also mark a possible new direction for college basketball, since this year was the first time there wasn’t a 1 or 2 seed in the Final Four in the last 33 years.

The tournament used to mostly be about the big programs and top seeds, but the tide may be turning, just ask favorites like the Kentucky Wildcats and Duke Blue Devils about that.

All this true madness in March is sure to have an effect on the time honored tradition of betting on the games, so it’s best to be prepared with the NCAA Basketball Props found at BetUS.

Tip-off is set for 9:23 (eastern) tonight’s game, which will be played at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. Each team comes into the game with 9 losses and a dream of cutting down the nets as champions, but only one will leave with the glory.
