If I spent 3.6 billion dollars on something I would probably promote it as if it were the second coming of Jesus Christ too. NBC’s going with the new slogan “Sunday Night Is Football Night” and they’re hoping to brainwash people. Mike McCarley, vp-strategic marketing and communications for NBC Universal Sports & Olympics says as much:
“Our new slogan is a simple, short, consistent message that we want to repeat over and over, wherever people are.”
He really does mean wherever people are. NBC is launching a huge campaign across multiple platforms, including a new website. As AA points out, do yourself a favor by going to the new website and clicking on the “Best Team in Football” section. The “Sunday Primetime” song is a banger.
