Chicago Cubs manager Lou Piniella is known as a straight-shooter so why would we expect him to do anything differently when discussing Geovany Soto‘s positive drug test during the World Baseball Classic? Lou spoke to the Chicago media before the Cubs and White Sox played and admitted to trying marijuana one time.
“Look, I have smoked dope one time in my life, and it didn’t do a damn thing for me, and I never tried it again,” he said. “And I’m fortunate because of that. But a lot of people do [smoke marijuana]. You can buy it in California from a pharmacy.”
That explains why Geovany Soto loves the West Coast road trip.
