Memphis police searched the home of Lorenzen Wright’s ex-wife in the ongoing investigation into the murder of the former basketball player. Sherra Wright is not in police custody despite earlier rumors/reports although authorities removed several items from the house and expected the grill and fire pit area. Neighbors say they saw a large fire at the home after Lorenzen’s disappearance and found it unusual because it was the hottest night of the summer.
Wright’s body was found in a field in southeast Memphis on July 28, nine days after he was last seen leaving Sherra’s home. Since then, drug dealers and three gun-packing mystery men have been tossed out as suspects. Lorenzen’s former assistant Wendy Wilson believes the police should have been looking at Sherra Wright all along.

This case should go to forensic files or the first 48. It would be helpful in finding and prosecuting whoever did this to Mr. Wright and would bring closure to the family. It would also impress on the public and other young men and celebrities that no matter what you do in life you have to live your life with your gaurds up watching your back meaning friends and family because sometimes the ones closet to you are those you need to observe the most. It also teaches a lesson that no matter who you are and what you got you can always get crossed up and caught up when you least expect it. Peace to the Family RIP mr Wright
