LeBron James and NIKE collaborated on a new commercial for the King that shows him asking the viewer “What should I do?” in reference to a number of his past decisions including “The Decision.” The spot is titled “Rise” (Even with LeBron’s popularity plummeting since mid-July) and while well intentioned, it only provides more fodder for the people James is trying to address. Luckily for LeBron the season starts tomorrow so he’ll be able to get out of his own way and just play basketball.
The commercial is well done but the timing couldn’t have been worse.
I disagree. I think it helps LeBron’s cause that he’s coming out and addressing the criticism (or at least acknowledging that it exists). I also think he should hire Don Johnson as his sidekick.
