Lane Kiffin to USC, Tennessee Riots

USC has landed University of Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin as the replacement for Pete Carroll who left the team for the Seattle Seahawks on Monday. Kiffin gets the job after the Trojans failed to land their first four choices, and he’s already ramping up the rivalry with UCLA by poaching offensive coordinator Norm Chow.

SoCal might be happy to have a new head coach for its professional football team USC, but the people in Tennessee are pissed off that Lane’s leaving. Kiffin cut his UT press conference short as angry students protested. The protests led to a riot and the burning of Lane Kiffin t-shirts. Kiffin better use the “Rae Carruth in the Trunk” or “Theo Epstein Gorilla Suit” get away plans if he wants to make it to California alive.

For all of his shortcomings Phil Fulmer never bailed on the team. And no matter how mad Vol fans are they have to admit Lane gave them a helluva year on and off the field.
