Kobe Bryant, Kobe Bean Bryant, KB-24, The Mamba, or whatever you choose to call him dropped 61 points on the New York Knicks Monday night to set the record for most points scored at the hoops Mecca, Madison Square Garden. Kobe spoke about his accomplishment after the game.
Just when LeBron James thought he was taking the crown from Kobe Bryant, Kobe goes of for 61 against King James’ future team(?). You knew when Kobe had 34 at the half that the night was gonna be special.. Even if Bryant played a little longer than he should have in the fourth quarter. I don’t know of any hard feelings between Lakers head coach Phil Jackson and his former team, but he was the coach when Michael Jordan scored 55 and for Kobe’s 61. I think this one was more for D’Antoni than the NY Knicks.
