• Kimbo Slice talks EliteXC, Boxing, and hunting down a writer with Dan Le Batard

Knocking guys out on the Internet sensation turned Mixed Martial Artist Kimbo Slice spoke to Dan Le Batard Wednesday on 790 The Ticket. Slice answers all of the important questions: what was it like getting knocked out by a guy with pink hair, where does your career go from here, and was the fight fixed?
The folks over at Sherdog pulled some quotes from the interview including Kimbo on his frame of mind going into the Petruzelli fight.
“They [EliteXC] had us under the impression that the fight wasn’t happening. When they said it wasn’t going to happen, that blood I’ve been holding on the whole time while I was training, I kind of let it go a little bit,” Ferguson said. “I was a little bit depressed, but I kind of had a relaxed mind frame and everything about me was no longer in fight mode.”
It sounds like Kimbo’s making excuses but if you listen to the whole interview, he gives Seth Petruzelli his props and even said it was cool that Seth dressed as Kimbo for Halloween.
The most interesting parts of the interview are Slice briefly mentioning he might start boxing, and that he’s on the lookout for the guy that wrote Kimbo Slice’s a sissy. Kimbo’s career in the ring would be like his career in EliteXC but better. He could still fight tomato cans and the traditional boxing style would fit him better. Kimbo Slice has a good sized following so there should be a promoter out there that’s willing to give it a try.
