Former Oakland Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell admitted to testing positive for codeine during an interview with Colleen Dominguez for “Outside the Lines.” The 2007 overall No. 1 pick says he had a prescription for the syrup after he was drafted but it wasn’t from a team doctor so he failed the test. You can believe that if you want to but this is the same guy that told police a freshly poured glass of purple (orange) drink found in his bedroom was Kool-Aid.
JaMarcus Russell should be given another chance if guys like Michael Vick and Donte Stallworth get another chance. I mean, he’ll only kill your team, not your dogs or loved ones.
