The Boston Celtics were flirting with falling into the dreaded 3-1 series hole until Doc Rivers let his subs play extended minutes in the fourth quarter. Glen “Big Baby” Davis and Nate Robinson combined for 30 points and five rebounds and led the Celtics fourth quarter rally. At one point Big Baby became so excited that he drooled on himself and the court.
ESPN’s Rachel Nichols asked Davis about his slobbering in the postgame press conference and he said it happened because he was in the moment. Or maybe it’s becasue he’s an ogre. I’m not clowning Davis. I’m just working with Nate Robinson’s “Donkey and Shrek” comparison.
I hate to break it to Nate but if they ever need a stunt double for Donkey the role is going to Chone Figgins.
