• Rodney Rogers injured while riding an all-terrain vehicle in North Carolina

Former Wake Forest standout and NBA player Rodney Rogers was injured in a single ATV accident in North Carolina over the Thanksgiving holiday. Rogers, who played for seven NBA teams in his 12 year career, was riding the all-terrain vehicle on private property when the accident happened.
The extent of Rogers’ injuries aren’t clear but some folks in the Durham area are concerned enough to hold a benefit for Rodney.
From WRAL.com:
A horseback riding group, “Black Trail Riders,” said Sunday they are planning a benefit ride in a few weeks for Rogers.
Friends say his condition is uncertain and that he may have suffered some paralysis.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Rodney Rogers and his family. When I first broke into sports media I covered the Los Angeles Clippers for a local sports radio station. Rodney was always cool and went out of his way to make my job easier. Hopefully he pulls through this.
