• Former NBA player Keith Closs hopes to nationalize for the Philippines

Keith Closs signed with the Los Angeles Clippers in 1997 and played parts of three seasons before washing out of the league. Closs is 32 years old now and still playing ball; at 7-3 there’s not much else he’s gonna do. After recent stints in the ABA and NBDL Keith Closs is ready to take his game international.
A 7-3 former Los Angeles Clippers center who broke David Robinson’s collegiate record in blocked shots is in the list of foreign players inquiring from the SBP about naturalization to gain eligibility for the Philippine national team.
SBP executive director Noli Eala said the other day Keith Closs has expressed interest in playing as a naturalized citizen after reading of plans to recruit “imports” in the Internet.
And people say nothing good comes from the Internet. Anything that delivers endless amounts of porn and puts Keith Closs in the news, giving me an excuse to post a video of him getting his ass whooped back in 2000, will always be all right by me.
Still one of the funniest and saddest videos I’ve ever seen. If I had to bet on the next athlete that this would happen to (Javon Walker gets a pass) I’d say quarterback Derek Anderson in Cleveland. The Browns fans believe Anderson is at fault for everything gone wrong and the team has basically declared open season on Anderson by naming Brady Quinn the starter. Unless Derek Anderson is putting grease on the ball when he passes it, making the defense unable to stop anyone, and running around the team facilities with a spray bottle full of staph bacteria he’s the fifth or sixth reason the Cleveland Browns are struggling.
