Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh Signing with the Miami Heat

Chris Broussard of ESPN is reporting that Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh will sign with the Miami Heat. The Toronto Raptors would have to sign-and-trade Bosh to Miami for both guys to ink six-year, $125 million contracts, or Bosh can sign for five years at $96 million without the Raptors involvement. The move places Miami in the conversation with Boston and Orlando as best teams in the East and adds pressure to LeBron James’ Thursday decision.

The King wants to compete for a title right away and he knows better than anybody that he it takes a strong supporting cast to win. If he stays in Cleveland he needs teammates good enough to help him fight through Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Miami, New York and Orlando, and then whoever comes out of the West. He didn’t have that this past season and with free agents signing everywhere except for Cleveland he won’t have it this year. That leaves LeBron in the I can’t beat ‘em so I have to join ‘em predicament. The way I see it he can only sign with New York, Chicago or Miami if he wants to win. If he let’s loyalty guide his decision then he’ll remain ring-less in Cleveland.
