It’s not often that I have to issue a correction but when I’m wrong, I’m wrong. I’m man enough to admit it. I previously said that Chris Webber tying a “Sanford and Son” episode into a new nickname for the Miami Heat was the best part of Wednesday night’s Sacramento Kings-Minnesota Timberwolves summer league game in Las Vegas. I thought that because I turned to the game in the third quarter and didn’t see Webber and Chris Winer interview Wolves GM David Kahn in the first quarter of the game.
Kahn spent the first five minutes of the two-part 10 minute interview on the new culture of the Timberwolves. He was rambling but he didn’t sound like an idiot. He saved that for the second part of the interview when he compared Darko Milicic to Vlade Divac and Chris Webber. C-Webb politely told Kahn not to use his name in the same sentence as Darko. He should have told him to resign immediately.
Skip ahead to 1:41 for the Webber-Kahn back and forth:

chris weber is a bitch anyway. tell him i said that. nigga u think you the shit cause you made it to the playoffs a couple of times. dont u remeber after u was traded from the kings u was b.s even before u went to the kings u was a bum. so dont disrespect darko milic cause he younger and taller then you. also weber people see u as eric snow as a anaylist. boy so suck a dick. lets go wolves david kahn i kno u wanted him to shut the fuck up. and tell him off . but i got yo back like kiropract
Hey Charles, quick question: are you retarded? Let’s see, C-Webb’s career avg for points and rebounds: 20.7 and 9.8, Dickless Milicic: 5.6 and 4.1. Yeah, I can’t imagine why he was offended when this dumbass tried to compare their careers. Great choice wolves, good luck.
Webber was rookie of the year. The year he felt he “came into his own” in the league was maybe the year he averaged 17.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.2 blocks, and 1.2 steals as a rookie.
As for Darko being a great passing big man…he has 284 assists in 6,475 minutes. Webber had more than 284 in five different seasons, and he never played as many as 2,900 minutes in any season. He never played more than 76 games in a season. Give him 80 games a year, and he would have gone over 284 assists 11 times, maybe 12.
Darko’s not close to Vlade, either. Vlade averaged 3.8 assists per 36 minutes…Webber averaged 4.1. Darko? 1.6.
