Delonte West Fights Celtics Teammate, Probably Still Crazy

Delonte West is an infamous figure in the NBA. Whether it’s the dirty Internet rumor about him sleeping with LeBron’s mom, his arrest for carrying several guns and a huge knife or his issues with bi-polar disorder, he keeps people talking about him.

He signed with the Boston Celtics during the off-season, apparently looking for another chance at saving his career. The Celtics were the team that originally drafted him and it was thought they might have a chance to set him straight. The move elicited a ton of Ray Allen mom jokes as well as a list of the pros and cons that came with him. Mark this down as a win for the cons, since he just got into a fist fight with teammate Von Wafer.

According to several reports, West was involved in a heated practice game with Wafer and allegedly instigated a physical altercation with him, first by repeatedly fouling him then following him to the locker room and throwing the first punch.

The fight ended after the two were separated by ‘veteran teammates’ and Wafer addressed it later on his Twitter.

While Wafer did not directly address the incident, according to CCSNE.com he wrote on his Twitter account: “Today was a test! . . . I am a professional and will continue to conduct myself as one . . . God has a plan for me.”

He later tweeted: “I love my team #we family.”

The Celtics are now reportedly considering cutting West, who has an interesting track record that also includes him rapping about KFC for several minutes. No really, I’m serious.

West is currently serving a 10-game suspension from the NBA for his weapons arrest, two of which I’m assuming have already been completed so far.
