Special guests such as Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra and assistant coach David Fizdale (who’s last name is misspelled on the camp’s site) are scheduled to appear, but an NBA lockout would prevent team staff from having contact with players. Former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown is scheduled as a special guest too. Just in case you were wondering.
Before I complain, I have to be fair and say that D-Wade still holds affordable camps for kids. His adult camp is simply a cash grab in the same vein as Michael Jordan’s camp or Jose Canseco charging people to hang out with him. At least the Wade and Jordan camps give away shoes. The only thing you get for being with Canseco is arrested.
The drills and games will be held on a court constructed in the hotel’s ballroom and the campers will room in the Tresor Junior Suites. I gotta admit the ballroom basketball court sounds awesome. It’s always been my dream to ball under a chandelier.
In a bit of related news, Adam Morrison has announced plans for his basketball camp. The fee is only $150 but all campers must have their medical marijuana license.

I agree with you all, pick up games for the rich and greedy. If Wade wants to do something for basketball and fans…bring in kids to help them and for free…Every day i lose more respect for D.Wade..yes I’am from Chicago…I know why he stayed in Miami ,it was for his family and kids,i don’t blame him for that..but all these other little things he does just start adding up. The big show boating on stage for one,ect..

the only thing I ask Santa for this summer is that Miami does not win a championship. They suck and hope they never win it… they are lucky the teams that would have beaten them are out of the playoffs, even that.. they are lucky.
